With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Jim has played a crucial role at Elecnor Belco for the past 15 years. Starting with the company when it was just 8 people in Corona, California, Jim has been integral to the company’s growth, helping the team navigate two office relocations to Chino, CA. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver, Colorado, and has an extensive background in software design, operations, inside sales, and fieldwork. Throughout his career, Jim has been responsible for several software implementations across accounting, operations, and field departments.
As the IT Manager at Belco, Jim is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and implementing IT systems, ensuring the company's technology infrastructure runs smoothly. His work includes creating and maintaining computer systems, networks, and applications, identifying technical issues, and providing solutions. Jim's focus on network security and privacy is a cornerstone of his role, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently while safeguarding sensitive information. Additionally, he provides ongoing technical support to users, troubleshooting system and network problems to keep the company running at full capacity.
Jim enjoys the dynamic nature of his job at Elecnor Belco, where no two days are ever the same. He thrives on multitasking and constantly expanding his knowledge of different aspects of the company, from learning new systems to helping achieve Belco’s goals. Outside of work, Jim is passionate about spending time with his family, camping, visiting Disneyland, and enjoying the beach. A huge Star Wars and movie fan, Jim is also an avid hockey enthusiast, supporting his hometown team, the Edmonton Oilers. Having lived in several places, including Canada, California, and Colorado, Jim’s diverse experiences have shaped his well-rounded approach to both work and life.
