Doug McWhorter

Doug McWhorter has been a dedicated member of the Elecnor Belco team for more than four years, bringing over a decade of experience in the electrical construction industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and has developed expertise in traffic signals, street lighting, and fiber optic communications.

As Chief Estimator, Doug is responsible for performing plan takeoffs and analyzing project documents to prepare competitive cost proposals. He collaborates with project management teams to review budgets, evaluate risks and opportunities, and develop construction schedules. He is also deeply committed to mentorship, providing guidance to less experienced colleagues in estimating practices, change order management, and a broad range of project and management tasks.

Doug has a strong passion for projects involving new traffic signal construction and communications installations. He finds it rewarding to contribute to the development and implementation of advanced systems and values the opportunity to play a role in shaping innovative solutions at the ground level.
