A historical recap

Belco began operations in July 1997 as a commercially-focused electrical contractor. Belco quickly established itself as a solid regional player and reliable partner. Companies such as Chevron Energy Solutions, Boeing and UC Irvine came to rely on Belco for high-quality design and delivery of electrical services.

As the renewable energy market evolved in California, Belco developed expertise in the sector and provided design, installation and commissioning services on notable renewable energy projects at Cal State Fresno, San Jose Unified School District, Glendale Community College and on solar installations for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit authority.

In 2011, Belco was acquired by Elecnor and began the next chapter in its evolution. Elecnor is one of Spain's leading companies in engineering, development and construction of projects relating to infrastructures, renewable energies and new technologies.

Nowadays, Belco offers global capabilities and experience in infrastructure, commercial electrical contracting and renewable energy and provides the highest level of expertise to the U.S. market.
